March Madness

 

I have only put in ~5 hours total watching college basketball so far this year and ~2 hours researching NCAA tourney matchups, but that won't keep me from filling out a bracket with teams I know nothing about (and talking smack about it)!  If the president can take time to fill out a bracket, surely I can too.

2009_NCAA_tourney_bracket_20090323 I don't care so much what the computers say, but I am worried my wife and inlaws might not be happy with me not picking UNC to win it all.   I think the Tarheels got hosed by the selection committee as they have quite a tough road to the Final Four...again.  But lest you all forget what happened last year, don't take me for granted!

i filled out a bracket this year, too.  i got roped into it at work - was handed a bracket and told to fill it out.  i did have the smarts to email brian and ask him.  he sent me a link to 5 si.com sports writers and their picks for the noth, south, east, west winners and overall champion.  from there, i picked names that i liked.  wake forest completely rocks!  they are going to go far, if my bracket says anything about it.  i did choose unc to win it all, though.  it's not a cool name, like wake forest, but i think they'll eke out a win against wake forest in the final minutes of the last game.  you have to agree, wake forest is an awesome name for a school, eh?

i'm so going to loose - but it's been fun so far.  =)

they did?  darn!  yeah, i can't remember who else i picked.  i should go look at my bracket (it's taped to the window near our desks with the others) and then look up to see who's won and lost.  i do know that both texas and a&m lost recently.  the sunday paper had a headline about it.
